Lord of heaven and earth,

as Jesus taught his disciples to be persistent in prayer,

give us patience and courage never to lose hope,

but always to bring our prayers before you;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

‘Jesus tells us that whatever we do for those in need, we do also for Him’.

How do we keep going when we face disappointment or despair, when all we can see in front of us is brokenness and conflict? We keep going because Jesus goes ahead of us.

God has put us in this world to change it. To be different. To leave those behind us a different and infinitely better landscape than the one we walk into when we’re born.
