St Paul’s Church, Ramsbottom

St Paul’s is located in a prime position in the centre of Ramsbottom. We are a small congregation but offer a warm welcome to the many visitors who arrive in town as well as local people.

Our services are traditional with a weekly Common Worship service each Sunday at 11am as well as a fortnightly 8.15am Book of Common Prayer service. In addition, we also host a mid-week Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion service on Tuesdays which attracts worshippers from a wide area.

A group of enthusiastic ringers ensures our ring of eight bells is regularly heard.

Our building is used by a wide variety of local groups and has a large parish room and excellent kitchen facilities at the rear of the church. We open to the church to visitors most Saturday mornings and are closely involved with all the local events, such as the 40s Weekend and the Chocolate Festival. A very well attended Parent and Toddler Group meets weekly in term-time and we also hold a Ladies Group twice a month which features invited speakers and social activities.

History:

St Paul’s Church has a prominent position in the centre of Ramsbottom and was consecrated in 1850 on land given by a local farmer.
